Education Assist
For a small annual donation of $20-40 you can support the educational
needs of a child from a poor and needy family.
So many families in India struggle every day to find sufficient food
and shelter. Given these struggles, education of the children is not a
priority. This is ironic because education of these children is the only
way for the family to rise above poverty in the future. Even if a child
is able to get access to a government school without fees they are often
unable to pay for the necessary books and uniforms. The lack of books
and uniforms can be distressing for students and in numerous cases leads
to punishment and shame, even suicide on occasion.
Through our Education Assist program donors have an opportunity to
pay for the annual school fees, books and uniforms for a student and
ensure that they have the chance of a brighter future.
Through your donation we can help many more children and
students continue with their studies so that they too may have a bright
future.
For more information on children who
require help through our Education Assist program please email us.

Lakshmi was unable to pay the school fees or buy
books and uniforms for her children Mounika, 7 yrs and Ravi Varma,
5 yrs. With our assistance, Mounika and Ravi Varma are now back in school and performing well. |
We also assist university students from families who are in dire
circumstances. Higher education will enable these students to eventually
be able support their families. For an annual sum of $250-400 we
can assist these students to gain fulfilling employment in the future.
| Harika and her sister Neeraja
(pictured at right with their mother and Shane) were attending
university thanks to their hard working father. Harika is in her
second
year of Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Neeraja is in her first year
of Bachelor of Science (Genetics). 6 months ago the girls' father
suffered hir third heart attack, this time extremely severe
and he is now
unable to work. No
work means no money so Harika and Neeraja were unable to pay their fees and
were being forced to leave university. We have been able to help
these girls with their university fees and they are now continuing with
their studies. |
